Paul Greengrass’ film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Christopher Rouse based on characters by Robert Ludlum, is a rousing affair with numerous locations all over the world (from Iceland to Las Vegas) and a rather fantastical finale on the Las Vegas strip. Perhaps not the best of the Jason Bourne films it still was effective in its execution and ability to combine an intelligent screenplay with the proper amount of action to keep the fans of the genre pleased. Cast with the finest actors in the industry, it stars an always excellent Matt Damon, Julia Stiles (given more to do here than in the last couple of films), Alicia Vikander (Oscar winner for THE DANISH GIRL), Vincent Cassel, Riz Ahmed and Tommy Lee Jones. You won’t be disappointed as long as you don’t enter the theatre with your expectations set too high.
