CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016)

Co-directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and based on Captain America by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby is essentially everything right about what should be done when filming an action adventure Marvel film. It has a compelling storyline that is not overly reliant on its special effects, though they are featured prominently in this film. A fine cast headed by Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt and Daniel Bruhl only add to the film’s overall effect which is quite satisfying when over. Always be sure and stay through the ending credits on all Marvel films because they often times attach ending scenes that are taglines for what is to come.
